OPEN CALL: 30th International Jewellery Competition
The Gallery of Art in Legnica invites to take a part in the 30th International Jewellery Competition TOUCH. It is the major event of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER, which takes place every year in May and is dedicated to the creators of contemporary jewellery.
This time the organizers have decided to encourage artists to reflect on what touch is - a sense particularly close to jewellery, carrying with it a load of intimacy and safety, but also - in recent times - of fear and danger. How - as humankind - do we find ourselves in the era of digital media, touch screens, the disappearance of direct interpersonal relations, and pandemic reality?

The deadline for submissions closes on 27 March 2022.
Participation is free (the Gallery of Art only charges for the return shipment of the work).
The winners of the Competition will be announced during the culmination of the Legnica SILVER Festival, which will take place on 13-14 May 2022.
To participate in the Competition you must:
1. send the completed entry form to silver@galeria.legnica.eu.
2. Send the work along with the printed and completed entry form to the address of the Art Gallery in Legnica (1 Katedralny Square, 59-220 Legnica, Poland) by 27 March 2022.
3. Pay a fee for the return of the work and attach the proof of payment to the entry form (in the case of participants from abroad) or declare in the entry form that they agree to cover the costs of transport upon delivery (in the case of participants from Poland).
